Career Help for Young Adults in Fashion & Creative Industries | Parent Information
Why would my child need a career coach?
You’ve supported your child through every stage of their education — from tutors and test prep to college admissions advisors. However, when it comes to launching a career, especially in competitive industries such as fashion, media, or the arts, most young adults are expected to figure it out on their own.
The truth is: the leap from college to career is one of the most confusing and overwhelming transitions your child will face. And while their school may offer a career center, it rarely provides the tailored, real-world guidance students need to stand out in today’s job market, let alone in a creative field.
That’s where I come in.
I’m a career coach for college students, recent grads, and young adults in their early 20s who want to pursue careers in fashion or other creative industries. My coaching helps students gain clarity, build confidence, and take aligned, strategic steps toward internships and entry-level roles.
Whether your child is trying to figure out what they want to do or already knows but doesn’t know how to break in, I offer personalized, practical support, from career clarity to networking strategies to application prep.
Why the creative industry requires a different kind of guidance
The creative industry is fast-paced, ever-changing, and often difficult to break into without insider knowledge. Between 70–80% of creative industry jobs are filled through referrals or internal networks, not job boards, which makes strategy, positioning, and internship experience crucial.
As a coach who has spent over 15 years in the fashion, beauty, and entertainment world, I understand exactly what it takes to get in the door and thrive. My goal is to help your student:
Find clarity about their interests and goals
Build confidence in how they present themselves
Learn how to advocate for their ideas and navigate early career challenges
Secure meaningful internships and entry-level roles in fashion, beauty, entertainment, or other creative industries
